Tom is on the roster of panelists for NPR's satirical news quiz Wait, Wait - Don't Tell Me
Something New This Way Comes....
I knew if I only waited long enough I could put aside all this pesky introspection and turn to retrospection. It's easier and more fun than actually making something up. It's Just Like I Told You amounts to the best of my early commentary (meaning, the least annoying) for NPR's All Things Considered dating back to 1984, continues through that and other work included in my first two books, As Far As You Can Go Without A Passport, and Small Comforts, and contains about an hour's worth of never-before-published work from a variety of places: Mr Showbiz online magazine, The Bob Edwards Show, this blog, and other random places. It's why they call it Random House, I suppose.

In recognition of our crazy smart abilities to manipulate digital streams, this piece of work is available only as a download. The nice thing about downloads is they are easy to wrap so this will make the perfect gift. Buy ten. They take up practically no room at all and will last as long as civilization itself. You don't get that kind of guarantee everyday. Even the Greek's work fell down eventually.
